The artist was born and raised in New York. She attended the Fashion Institute of Technology for both Fashion Design and Fashion Illustration, worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's famed Costume Institute under the direction of Dierdre Donohue and the late Richard Martin when she was just 18, and has done a bit of freelance work for various 'zines, etc. She has been webdesigning for almost 10 years and has designed and created websites for many people through those 10 years. Her artwork runs the gamut from traditional watercolor and pen & ink pieces to contemporary pop-art and vector-type images.
Heavily inspired by both fashion and music, tattoo culture and retro style, her digital pieces reflect the style and energy of the fast paced city and the smooth softness of the old pin-up style with a twist, and her painted works evoke a more classic feeling. The black and white pen &ink or pencil pieces have a haunting presence while the watercolor art is richer and the vector and digital pieces are altogether bold. She brings out the best parts of her subjects in a new, fresh way. Regardless of the message or emotion you want to convey, her style, experience and talent can make it shine.
